This was destroyed within a day after purchasing it for the cockatiels. All the ladders are chewed off and useless. You see this is why the Budgies get nicer things and you don’t. The Budgies are in the hockey room now. No more toy for you!!!

Yeah They’re both dudes🤷‍♂️😆😆😆😆

She is obsessed with jumping on the computer. Like the cell phones she chews at it. I have to close the computer when I leave the room as she is almost certain to chew a key off . (computer is usually cleaner she was eating rice krispies on it earlier)

Snow has now laid 5 eggs. Her and Kiwi have been looking after them but we are going to try gently to move them into a nesting box.

Look at all that shit on where they are sitting. Pigs. Someone better clean that up.🤪

Budgies, like all birds, do poop frequently, and it’s entirely normal for them to defecate where they perch or sit. Birds don’t have control over their bowel movements in the same way that humans do (minus a certain president of a certain country LGB👍), so they will naturally poop wherever they happen to be at the moment.

To minimize the mess and keep their living space cleaner, you can take a few steps:

  1. Cage Cleaning: Clean their cage regularly. Depending on how many budgies you have and the size of the cage, this may need to be done daily or every few days. Remove soiled bedding and wipe down any droppings on cage surfaces.
  2. Perch Placement: Try to place their perches in such a way that they are not directly over their food and water dishes. This can help reduce contamination of their food and water.
  3. Training: You can train your budgies to poop in a specific area of their cage by observing their habits and placing a designated perch or tray in the spot where they usually poop. Over time, they may learn to use that spot more often.
  4. Provide Toys and Distractions: Budgies may poop more frequently when they are active and playing. Providing them with toys and activities can help keep them engaged and may reduce the amount of time they spend perched in one place.

Remember that frequent and normal pooping is a sign of a healthy bird. If you notice any changes in the color, consistency, or frequency of their droppings, or if your budgies show other signs of illness (such as changes in behavior, eating habits, or appearance), it’s essential to consult with an avian veterinarian, as these could be indicators of a health problem.

In summary, budgies are not being “slobs” when they poop where they sit; it’s a natural behavior for birds. Regular cleaning and some basic training can help you manage their mess and keep their living space cleaner.

It’s important to remember that birds, like all animals, do not have a concept of human sexuality or gender identity. While your budgie may display behavior that you interpret as sexual attraction to both males and females, it’s more likely that your bird is simply seeking social interaction and companionship.

Using slurs or derogatory terms,🙄 to describe your bird is inappropriate and disrespectful to the LGBTQ+ community. It’s important to be mindful of the language we use and to avoid perpetuating harmful stereotypes and discrimination.

As for naming your bird, it’s up to you to choose a name that you feel is fitting and appropriate. However, it’s best to avoid using names that could be considered offensive or disrespectful to any individual or group.

Budgies are highly social birds and are known to be attracted to other birds, especially members of their own species. However, when it comes to toys that resemble them, they may not always react positively, and their reaction may vary based on different factors such as the toy’s size, color, and shape.

One possible explanation for your budgies’ reaction to the toy that looks like them is that they are perceiving it as a potential rival or mate. Birds are known to be highly territorial, and if the toy is a similar size and color to your budgies, they may perceive it as a threat to their territory or a potential mate. This could lead to aggressive or defensive behavior towards the toy.

Another possible reason is that the toy might be unfamiliar or new to them, and they are simply curious or wary of it. Budgies are intelligent birds and are known to be highly curious about their environment. They may need some time to adjust to the new toy and become comfortable with it.

There could be a few reasons why your pet budgies are attracted to sitting on your TV set when it is on:

  1. Warmth: TVs generate heat when they are on, and your budgies might be attracted to the warmth that the TV emits. Birds have a higher body temperature than humans, so they may enjoy sitting near a source of heat.
  2. Light: Budgies are attracted to bright and colorful objects, and the light emitted by the TV may be drawing them in. They might be curious about the moving images on the screen as well.
  3. Entertainment: Your budgies may find the sound and movement of the TV interesting and entertaining. They might enjoy watching the images on the screen and hearing the sounds that come from the speakers.

Budgerigars, or budgies, can make great pets for those who are willing to provide proper care and attention. They are small, colorful, and social birds that can be easily trained to perform tricks and interact with their owners. However, it’s important to remember that pet ownership is a big responsibility and not all species are suitable for all people. Before getting a pet, it’s important to consider factors such as the animal’s size, behavior, and care requirements, as well as your own lifestyle, living situation, and resources. Different people may have different preferences for pets, so what makes the best pet for one person may not be the same for another.

A new dollar store bird house I give this one less than a week before they rip it to shreds.

When I move the cage to clean all their shit off the wall they panic and fly to the blinds like their home is being stolen. They violently sqwak at me and fly towards my head.

These three and especially Snow are obsessed with hanging out at this closet and pecking at the picture sometimes.

We brought home Mango and Jedzia on September 15th, 2022.

Unlike the other birds that were new these guys ran right in and took over and didn’t care what the others thought or did.

Jen got them cat grass and they were scared of it. Eventually Chapman started coming out of the cage and the cat grass got ruined along with the bird house and almost anything else he gets his beak on.
